Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Bukku at getbukku.app ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Bukku is a scheduling and booking platform designed for tutors, freelancers, and coaches. The Service allows you to create a public booking page, manage appointments, send reminders, and collect payments through third-party payment providers.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• One person may not maintain more than one account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to solicit illegal activities
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service
• Upload malicious code or content that could harm the platform or its users

5. Booking and Payments

Bukku facilitates bookings between service providers and their customers. We are not a party to the agreements between providers and customers.

• Service providers are responsible for fulfilling their bookings.
• Payments are processed by third-party providers (PayHere for LKR, Stripe for international payments). Bukku does not store payment card details.
• Refund policies are determined by the individual service provider.
• Bukku is not liable for disputes between providers and their customers.

6. Free Trial and Pricing

• New users receive a 1-month free trial on their selected plan.
• After the trial, you will be notified before any charges begin.
• Pricing is listed in LKR and may be updated with 30 days notice.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. No cancellation fees apply.

7. Content and Data

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Bukku (profile information, service descriptions, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to display this content as necessary to operate the platform (e.g., on your public booking page).

8. Availability and Uptime

We strive to keep Bukku available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

Bukku is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to lost profits, missed bookings, or data loss.

10. Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
• Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
